🧵 Materials

Each Doggie Dekor product is thoughtfully handmade in small batches right here in our tiny studio in Calgary, Alberta. We carefully select quality fabrics and hardware and, whenever possible, incorporate gifted, reclaimed, and salvaged materials to give beautiful fabrics a second life. All fabrics used in our products are prewashed and preshrunk by us before they become part of a Doggie Dekor creation.

Depending on the product, materials may include cotton, canvas, coordinating thread, zippers, Velcro, and metal hardware chosen for both style and durability.

Because every item is handcrafted, slight variations may occur—making each piece one of a kind, just like the dog who wears it.

Made for dogs and the humans who love them. And don't forget to tell your dog we said hi! 🐾

📏 Sizing & Measurement

Scrunchie Bandanas

Loosely measure your dog's neck and use the following sizing guide. We recommend a comfortable, relaxed fit. A bandana that is too tight can be uncomfortable for your dog and may affect the natural drape of the fabric.

Please, please never leave your dog unattended while wearing a bandana.

Small
Best for neck sizes 11"–16"

Medium
Best for neck sizes 15"–20"

Large
Best for neck sizes 19"–25"

 

 

Buddy, my Border Collie, wears a Medium and has a neck measurement of approximately 17".

Luvee, my super fluffy Rough Collie, also wears a Medium and has a neck measurement of approximately 16".

Over-the-Collar Bows

The double row of elastic on the back of our Over-the-Collar Bows is designed to fit most flat collars up to 1½" wide.

 

🧺 Care Instructions

To keep your Doggie Dekor products looking their best:

• Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent
• Rinse thoroughly
• Lay flat to dry in its original shape
• Do not hang to dry
• Do not place in the dryer
• Do not bleach or iron
• Spot-clean hardware with a damp cloth

We do not recommend machine washing.

 

🐾 A Note on Handmade Goods

Every Doggie Dekor piece is handmade in small batches, so slight variations in pattern placement, fabric cuts, or stitching are a natural part of the process—and part of what makes your piece truly unique.

Many of our products are created using reclaimed fabrics, rescued fabric remnants, or limited fabric finds. Because of this, some products are available in only a single fabric option or very limited quantities.

When you see a "one-of-a-kind" Doggie Dekor product, it really is one of a kind. Once that fabric is gone, it is unlikely to be restocked in the same colour, pattern, or style.
