About Doggie Dekor

Hi there — I'm Sheryl, the solo creative behind Doggie Dekor.

Doggie Dekor was created from a simple love of dogs. I live with them, laugh with them, and create for them every single day.

The pups featured throughout the website are my own dogs — Buddy, a black-and-white Border Collie with endless energy and a big personality, and Luvee, a sweet-natured tri-coloured Rough Collie who brings a little calm to Buddy's chaos. Don't let her fool you though — she can absolutely hold her own! Together, Buddy and Luv inspire so much of what I create.

From my tiny studio in Calgary, Alberta, I design and handcraft accessories and dog-themed items for dogs and the humans who love them.

The idea for Doggie Dekor started with a simple thought: if children can have personalized banners hanging on their walls, why can't dogs? That idea quickly grew into creating handmade items that celebrate our four-legged family members — from name banners and accessories to practical everyday items for dog lovers.

Whenever possible, I choose natural materials, with 100% cotton being my favourite fabric to work with. While I do purchase fabric for many of my creations, I also love finding ways to give beautiful fabrics a second life. By repurposing leftover, gifted, and reclaimed materials into smaller handmade items, I can keep usable fabric out of landfills while creating something unique and meaningful.

Every Doggie Dekor item is handmade in small batches with care, attention, and a whole lot of love.
